The Davis Mountains Trans-Pecos Heritage Association works to promote several goals:
To support and encourage the wise use of natural resources on private lands;
To defend the American system of free enterprise and promote private ownership and private protection of natural resources;
To support the cultural traditions of Texas, recognizing that our heritage is intertwined with our special relationship with the land;
To seek regional solutions to regional problems without undue interference from state and federal government;
To educate and inform members and the public to stimulate public awareness of issues that affect the Trans Pecos;
To encourage members and the public to actively participate in the political processes that affect the Trans Pecos;
To promote private conservation, not public preservation of land and resources;
To defend the individual liberties guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.
